Bangkok Dangerous - utter shite. Nicholas Cage should be retired before he makes any more crap like this. 2 shocking, really shocking, hairpieces out of 10.

Avatar - Finally got to see this today in the fake IMAX in Cardiff. Awesome effects, brilliant in 3D and the most enjoyable film I've probably ever seen. 9.5 lumps of unobtainium out of 10

Rec2
Fucking superb - the original movie was the best zombie flick in recent years and this follows on beautifully. Scares, gore and very interesting story what more do you need. 5 night vision cameras out of 5.

Hot Rod

Teenage stuntman Rod aims to do one big stunt to get enough money for his step-dad's heart transplant so he doesn't die and he can beat the shit out of him to prove he is a man. Hilarious film, one of my favourite comedies. 9 cool beans out of 10.

The Crazies
- Stunning remake of the George A Romero classic. Great acting and very tense in places, slightly lacking in gore for me but that was the only minor point. 5 hazmat suits out of 5.

District 9

At the start I was like WTF?, but as soon as the plot kicks in , this film rocks and its the main actor's first film wrapped into a $30m budget, superb :D

9 out of 10 prawns.

Harry Brown - Michael caine taking on chav scum in a british version of Death wish. Superb fun, some lovely violence although not too keen on some of the cgi blood effects. 4 dead chavs out of 5.

The Crazies - OK remake, didn't really go anywhere for me. Felt like a 45 min TV special stretched out to 90 mins. Timothy Olyphant was great as usual. Predictable ending. 7 zombified mentalists out of 10
